Our teacher rewards, listed below, are just another way we can help you make the most of your Discovery Student Adventure.
When five of your students come on the trip, you travel for free. When you
know your students, you really know how to help them expand their knowledge of
the world and themselves.
Also, we know that good teachers know other good teachers, and that's why we ask
you to refer your colleagues as leaders, and reward you for helping us find
extraordinary educators.
Rewards
The more students you bring, and teachers you refer, the more points you earn,
and the more
travel enhancements we can provide, such as:
- Student scholarships: Earn scholarship dollars to award to students of your choice.
- Travel conferences: Spend a weekend enjoying the
company of other educators in a beautiful domestic destination — on us.
- Travel with a friend: Share the experience with a colleague. Whether local or accross the country, your Adventure Specialist will coordinate your plans so that you travel together.

Teachers who enroll five students or more for a Discovery Student Adventures trip in 2011 will be rewarded with an unforgettable, all-inclusive five days in Costa Rica. You’ll be immersed in the country’s rich culture, pampered at a beautiful coastal resort and treated to adrenalin-boosting adventures.
Qualify for this amazing trip and you’ll be filling your days shooting through the rain forest on a zip line, exploring the mountainside on horseback, relaxing in a thermal water pool, viewing a dazzling diversity of exotic wildlife, diving, surfing, snorkeling … or just kicking back and soaking up the magical, awe-inspiring scenery.
You’ll also be treated to professional development training from our knowledgeable Discovery Student Adventures staff. They will cover all the information you need to ensure your Discovery trip is a huge success!
Students must be enrolled by December 31, 2010, to qualify. And remember, by qualifying for the teacher’s only Costa Rica trip, your 2011 student trip is also FREE!
The rewards don’t stop there...
Travel with a colleague or award a scholarship to the student of your choice:
Teachers who enroll 10 students or more for a 2011 trip can bring along a colleague FREE. Enroll 20 or more students and invite TWO colleagues.
Or, choose to award a student scholarship. You can elect to award one scholarship for every 10 students you enroll, instead of giving your free spot to a colleague.
Returning teacher conference
Teachers who traveled with Discovery in 2010 and return in 2011 will earn a trip to another international location that’s every bit as incredible as Costa Rica. To qualify, teachers need to enroll 10 students or more by December 31 prior to the travel year.
