Discovery Education
Since our inception, Discovery Education has been transforming classrooms and inspiring teachers with the highest quality content and services that empower educators to measure and improve student achievement. Discovery Education provides extraordinary curricular resources to approximately one million educators and 35 million technology-savvy students nationwide. With the launch of Discovery Student Adventures, we are taking our passion for learning around the globe—providing students and educators with one-of-a-kind, education based trips to incredible international destinations.
Discovery Education is proud to work with World Adventures Unlimited, a subsidiary of Ambassadors Group, one of the world’s most recognized and respected educational travel providers. Known for creating safe, unique, and empowering travel programs for kids, Ambassadors has traveled over 400,000 students, teacher, and adults to 49 countries on all seven continents for more than 40 years.
Every trip integrates Discovery Education curriculum into the entire experience, from pre-trip activities to engage and excite student travelers to on-trip assignments that complement various activities to post-trip assignments that enable each student to capture in their own way the essence of the trip and what it meant to him or her. In addition, students entering 9th through 12th grade may have the opportunity to earn high school credits for their trip.
Discovery Education provides students and teachers with ongoing resources and tools to engage and enlighten them as they prepare for their travel. From watching videos that cover a variety of curriculum topics across each destination to grade appropriate lesson plans, a Discovery Student Adventure traveler will be prepared and ready for their trip. We invite students to get to know and appreciate the part of the world they will soon visit. Teachers can incorporate videos and lesson plans into their own classroom experiences, giving an even broader range of students a chance to explore their world through the eyes of Discovery.
